Certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS), the physicians at Texas Surgical Group (TSG) have over 50 years of combined experience in diagnosing, treating and managing surgical patients. Each surgeon at TSG is an experienced and active trauma surgeon, trained to take care of the most acute surgical cases. This experience, combined with board certification, real-time availability and academic participation in Austin’s only Graduate Medical Education Program, add up to acomprehensive practice which offers advanced treatment for surgical patients—all within our convenient downtown Austin location.

Essential areas of service provided by Texas Surgical Group:

  • Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery: gastroesophageal reflux disease (heartburn), removal of the gallbladder or colon, and hernia repair.
  • Gastrointestinal Tract: esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large bowel, appendix and rectum.
  • Abdominal Surgery: gallbladder and biliary tract, liver, pancreas and spleen.
  • Breast: minimally invasive surgery for breast cancer and management of benign breast disease.
  • Endocrine: pancreas, adrenal, thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
  • Hernia: groin hernias, incisional hernias, and various abdominal wall hernias.
  • Skin and Soft Tissue: excision of skin cancers, benign skin lesions and removal of soft tissue masses.
  • Surgical Oncology: coordinated compre- hensive management of the cancer patient.
  • Head and Neck: thyroid, parathyroid, congenital and malignant diseases.
  • Endoscopy:
    • Colonoscopy: visualizing the entire colon and performing necessary biopsies, removal of polyps, and screening for cancer.
    • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy): visualizing esophagus, stomach and duodenum and performing necessary biopsies; management of chronic reflux disease (heartburn).
  • Trauma/Critical Care: Comprehensive management of trauma and critically ill patients.
